Mr. Aftab ul Islam, Chairman, Impact PR
Mr. Aftab ul Islam is a prominent businessman and a business leader in Bangladesh having stake in businesses ranging from Information technology to Insurance. A Chartered Accountant, Mr. Islam is currently the President of American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh. He also held same position of AmCham from 2001 to 2005.
Mr. Islam is the Chairman of International Office Equipment (IOE), International of IIT Bangladesh Ltd., an institute that grooms IT professionals; Impact PR, Bangladesh’s first institutional public relations agency; Sr. Vice-Chairman of Asia-Pacific General Insurance Company Ltd., and a Director of ATAZ Bangladesh Ltd., a joint venture Management Consultancy firm with American counterpart.
The Bangladesh government recently appointed him as the Chairman of SME Foundation to develop country’s SME sector.
M Shamsur Rahman, CEO
Shamsur Rahman is the Chief Executive Officer of Impact PR. He launched Impact PR in 2005. Prior to his launching of the agency, Shams worked as an account manager in one of the leading PR firm, Percept Profile, in Dubai. Before entering the PR industry, Shams served as the business Editor of The Daily Star and earned the reputation of being the best Business Editor in English Journalism in Bangladesh. He also played a key role in launching the Daily Star and DHL Worldwide Express Business Awards. The Daily Star and DHL Worldwide Express have introduced the awards to recognize the contribution of the business community towards the country’s economic development. The event is an annual one and has wide acceptance in the business community in Bangladesh.

Sabrina Zaman, Account Director
Majored in marketing communications from Middlesex University, London, Sabrina Zaman, has a proven track record of heading and successfully managing events while in London. She also proved her efficiency in arranging concerts and symposiums in the university as an active volunteer. British born Ms. Zaman also has two year expertise in travel and tour business in Bangladesh and one year experience in London. She joined Impact PR as head of account management team with the designation of Account Director in February, 2007. She is official trainer for PR and Media Relations training the agency offers to its corporate clients.
Zahedul Islam, Senior Account Manager
Zahedul Islam joined the Impact PR in May 2008 as an Account Manager to handle Warid Telecom account. Later, he was promoted to Senior Account Manager with the additional responsibilities to handle the public relations activities of Huawei Technologies and EMEM System, an IT firm of Ispahani Group. Before switching to Public Relations field, Zahed worked with Bangladesh’s two leading English dailies - The Daily Star and New Age as Staff Correspondent and Senior Staff Correspondent respectively over a period of seven years. Of total seven years journalism career, Zahed spent last five of them as specialized Telecom reporter.
His experience in Journalism provided him with strong media contacts spanning a range of sectors and first class writing skills to communicate the goals and strategies clearly to the media. He is also well connected to Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission and Posts and Telecommunications ministry. Zahed did his post graduation in Mass Communication and Journalism from The University of Dhaka.
Mahbub-E-Waduzzaman, Account Manager
A journalism graduate and an MBA in Accounting, Mahbub has a proven record in Public Relations, Journalism and event management. Mahbub worked with Adcomm, country’s one of the leading advertising agency, with the special assignment of doing PR for Tata Group and Nokia Corporation. After completing post graduation in Mass Communication and Journalism at the University of Dhaka, he started his journalism career as an intern with the largest circulated Bangla daily – The Daily Prothom Alo. He later worked briefly for the Daily Ittefaq and The Daily Star before joining Adcomm. Mahbub later joined Impact PR in 2006. He is currently handling the Warid account along with the Senior Account Manager of the agency.
